The Season of Promise is a book about adjustments. The book takes place in the year 1610, the U.S.A. didn't even exist yet! Elizabeth had to overcome losing her mom and having her dad get remarried. I recommend this book because it told about Elizabeth's life and I learned a lot about the first people that came to America.
