As you can tell this is a funny tall tale. In this book Jack and his and his mom live alone. They are trying to earn money, so they have to sell their cow Milky-White. Jack sells her for magic beans. The beans grow into a beanstalk and take Jack into a giant's castle. The lesson learned in this story is never take things without asking. Jack stole from the giant and he got very angry with Jack.
